About Sleeper Grab & Hire
A concrete sleeper weighs enough that lifting it into place by hand is a two person job, and a long wall is a lot of lifts. A 2380mm sleeper runs to around 87kg. The HYBUILT sleeper grab turns that into a one person job with a machine, and takes the strain off your back and your schedule.
Buy or hire
Buy your own if you lay sleepers regularly. Hire one for a single project by the day or the week. The maths is not complicated.

Roughly nine days of daily hire, or two weekly hires, costs what the grab costs to own. If you are a landscaper or a builder doing this more than once a year, buying is the cheaper answer and it is yours on the truck whenever you need it.
Lift pads
The pads are the wear parts. They take the load and the abrasion on every pick up, and they are sold individually as a LEFT and a RIGHT. Keep a spare set on the truck rather than losing half a day to a trip back to the yard. Replace both sides at once if they have worn unevenly, so the grab holds the sleeper square.
Before you book a hire
Hire stock is limited and moves quickly through the warmer months. Ring the yard on (07) 3716 0191 to check availability for your dates before you lock in your build, because the grab is no use to you the week after the sleepers land.
Hire units come ready to work with pads fitted. You will need a machine to hang it off, so confirm your excavator or loader attachment before you book.
