How delivery works
Depending on the order size, we can usually deliver within 2 to 3 business days after order confirmation. If yours will take longer we tell you when you order, not on the day it was meant to arrive.
A tight suburban block with a single vehicle crossover gets a different truck to an open acreage lot or a builder's site with room to move.
Load size
Total weight and the number of packs or pallets decide which truck is needed.

How far the load has to travel from Rocklea.
Site access
Whether a crane truck can get in, park legally and reach the drop point.
Where we deliver
We do not price freight online. Send us your material list and the suburb or town the material is going to, and our team will confirm the freight cost before anything is dispatched. Outside the list? Ask anyway. Request a quote and we will price the freight properly.
Site access checklist
Most deliveries that go sideways do so because of something nobody mentioned when the order was placed. Tell us about anything here that is not straightforward.
Access width and surface
How wide is the driveway or entry? Note gates, tight corners, kerb heights, existing walls, and any low branches or awnings a loaded truck cannot get under.
Overhead powerlines
A crane truck cannot lift under live lines. Tell us about powerlines, service drops and cables over the driveway, the frontage or the drop point.
Soft or wet ground
Fresh fill, irrigated lawn, soft verges, septic and stormwater lines, and recent rain all matter. Loaded trucks are heavy and they bog.
Where the load goes
Nominate a drop point that is flat, firm, clear of the footpath and clear of where you will be working. Sleepers land in packs and are not easily shifted afterwards.
Crane reach
A crane truck lifts from where it can legally and safely park, over a fence if it has to. If your drop point is behind the house or up a slope, say so up front.
Someone on site
Have a person there to direct the driver and take the delivery, or give us clear written instructions in advance about where to leave the load.
Parking and traffic
Narrow streets, no standing restrictions, school zones, bin day and other trades on site can all cost a delivery window. Flag it early.
Send photos
Two or three phone photos of the street frontage and the drop point tell us more than a paragraph, and they are the fastest way for us to send the right truck.
Fire ant biosecurity and bulk materials
If you are ordering bulk material such as drainage gravel, sand or soil anywhere in South East Queensland, fire ant biosecurity is not optional. Movement controls are law under the Biosecurity Act 2014, and they apply to you as the receiver of the material as well as to us as the supplier.
These materials are regulated
Regulated fire ant carriers include soil, mulch, manure, hay and mining and quarry materials. Quarry materials specifically cover gravel, fines, sand and crusher dust, which is most of what goes in behind a retaining wall.
There are two zones, and they move
Queensland has two fire ant biosecurity zones, reviewed and updated monthly by the National Fire Ant Eradication Program. What applies to a load depends on where the material came from, where it is going, and the zones on that day. That is why we will not publish a zone map that would be out of date within a month.
The 24 hour rule matters to you
Within a zone, regulated material may be moved if it is moved within 24 hours of being delivered, or the required storage or disturbance steps are followed, or it goes directly to an approved waste facility. Stockpile delivered gravel or soil for longer than 24 hours and the storage and record keeping requirements become yours, not the supplier's.
Leaving the zones needs a permit
For soil and for mining and quarry materials, moving the material out of the fire ant biosecurity zones, or from Zone 2 into Zone 1, is prohibited unless a biosecurity instrument permit has been granted.
Ask your supplier
The eradication program's own advice to buyers is to ask the seller whether the material has been produced and stored in accordance with the regulation. We would rather you asked than assumed. Check the current position at fireants.org.au on the day you order. Northern New South Wales runs its own separate emergency order for material coming from Queensland.
Installation
We build it for you. HYBUILT offers a design and construct solution. We do not publish an installer list, because the right crew depends on the job and where it is. Tell us the wall dimensions, the site, the suburb and your timeframe, and we will either take the build on ourselves or recommend an installer who works in your area.
Or you build it yourself. Our installation guides walk through the sequence in order: site preparation, post positioning, installing posts, installing sleepers, drainage, attaching a fence on top, and a cross section diagram. Either way, confirm approval requirements with your council or certifier first. Our wall height guide covers the common triggers.
Pickup from the yard
Drainage gravel is delivery only. We supply and deliver gravel to your site and we do not provide a pickup option for it.
