Why these three

They go together. The sleepers, the posts they sit between and the plinth that finishes the bottom of the wall are the three lines that make up most of a composite build, and composite is what most people land on once they weigh up a concrete sleeper at around 87kg against one a single person can carry.

• Composite sleepers do the same job as concrete in the same post and panel system, at around 90 percent less weight. They resist warping, rotting and termites, and they suit tight access blocks where a crane truck cannot get close.
• Composite H posts carry the spans between the ends of a run, in 0.8m to 2.0m lengths for walls up to 1m.
• Composite plinths finish the bottom of the wall cleanly and are a common pick under a Colorbond fence.

Before you add to cart

Pick the sleeper length first, because it sets the post centres and therefore the post count. Then check the wall height: composite is rated to 1m, and above that you are into galvanised steel posts and, in most of South East Queensland, council approval as well.
