Composite Sleeper 1980mm

The 1980mm Composite Sleeper is the shorter of our two composite lengths, which makes it the easier one to handle on a tight site and the one to pick when the wall line is awkward or the last bay is short. It resists warping, rotting and termites with minimal upkeep, and needs no staining or sealing.

Specifications

A shorter sleeper means more posts and more pier holes across the same wall length, so the 2380mm sleeper usually works out cheaper on a long straight run. Pair either with composite posts for walls up to 1m, or galvanised steel posts where the design calls for it, and pack each course out with composite sleeper wedges. Composite cuts with a standard wood blade, so there is no wet saw and no silica dust.

Building courses that get buried?

Cosmetic composite sleeper seconds are the same product with surface scuffs, minor edge damage or colour variation, at a reduced price. Plenty of builders run seconds on the lower courses that end up below ground or behind a garden bed, then full price sleepers on the top course people actually see. Everything in the seconds and clearance range is sold as seen, so ask us for photos of current stock first.
