HYBUILT's galvanised steel 90 degree corner posts turn a retaining wall through a right angle without cutting or fabricating on site. Two 100PFC channels are joined by a full steel plate, so the corner is one welded piece rather than two posts bolted together, and sleepers slot straight into each face. Hot dip galvanised for long term corrosion resistance in the Queensland climate.
Use these where the wall returns at a right angle, with C posts at the open ends and H posts through the straight runs. For a shallower turn, see the 45 degree corner post.
Each face is a 100PFC parallel flange channel to AS/NZS 3679.1, the same section as our standard C post, so the sleeper fit is identical on both faces of the corner.

An 86.6mm opening takes our 75mm concrete sleepers with room to pack out, which is what the non-perishable wedges are for.

As a rule of thumb the post is twice the wall height, because the recommended pier depth matches the height of the wall. A 1.0m wall therefore takes a 2.0m corner post. Use the wall calculator to size and count your posts, and read the steel post installation guide before you dig. Where your wall has an engineered design, use the post length, spacing and pier depth in that design rather than a rule of thumb.
Walls over about 1 metre high commonly need council approval and an engineered design, and approval can also be triggered by loads behind the wall, a slope above it, or the wall sitting close to a building, a boundary or another wall. Thresholds vary by council across South East Queensland and Northern NSW, so confirm what applies to your site with your local council or a building certifier before you order.
The 90 degree post cap comes in left leaning and right leaning to suit which way your corner turns, so check the direction of the return before you order. Caps keep water and debris out of the open section and give the top of the wall a finished edge.
